Abstract

Disclosed herein are the derivatives of tetrahydrobenzothiazole represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom, a straight-chain alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or branched-chain alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 6 carbon atoms or a phenyl group and R.sup.2 represents a chemical group selected from the group consisting of: ##STR2## wherein R.sup.3 represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl group or an acetyl group and R.sup.4 represents a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, methoxy group or acetoxy group and herbicidal compositions containing at least one of the derivatives of tetrahydrobenzothiazole as an active ingredient.
