Abstract
The device for obviating or making difficult the rupturing of a pipeline having a risk zone includes, in one embodiment, a plurality of tension bars which bridge the risk zone and tensioning bands which extend peripherally about the tension bars to press the bars against the pipeline at the respective ends. In other embodiments, tension pins are disposed at the ends in arcuate segments which circumferentially surround the pipeline on opposite sides of a rupture zone while tensioning bands in the form of chains surround the arcuate segments in order to press the segments against the pipeline.
