Abstract

A direct positive silver halide photographic emulsion which is able to provide a high maximum density and a low minimum density, and having a high developing progress. The emulsion contains at least one of the sensitizing dyes represented by following general formulate I, II, III, and IV and at least one of the compounds represented by general formulae V and VI; ##STR1## The substituents are defined in the specification.
