Abstract

An electric-motor-driven circulating pump for heating systems reduces power consumption of the motor, whereby the reduction ensues by means of periodic interruption of a line feed by means of electronic switch means so that switch-on and pause intervals follow one another. The switch means interrupt or close current flow at a zero-axis crossing of the voltage of the line feed.
