Abstract

Novel cycloaliphatic alcohols of formula ##STR1## wherein each of symbols R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 designates a methyl radical or wherein R.sup.1 designates an ethyl radical and R.sup.2 stands for a methyl radical or a hydrogen atom, possess useful fragrance properties and consequently can be used in the perfume industry. A process for their preparation starting from an allenic carbinol is disclosed.
