Abstract
Described are dithioethers of 2-phenyl-2-alkenals defined according to the generic structure: ##STR1## wherein N represents 0 or 1 and R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 each represents hydrogen or methyl taken alone or taken further together with dithioethers of 2-phenyl-2-alkenals defined according to the structure: ##STR2## wherein N and R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are defined, supra and uses thereof in augmenting or enhancing the aroma or taste of foodstuffs, chewing gums, toothpastes and medicinal products.
