Abstract

A salt of 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) and a structural polymer re dissolved in a mutual solvent. The solution is chilled and subsequently added to a liquid with which the solvent is miscible but in which the TCNQ and polymer are less soluble. A precipitate results which is a massive, conducting, moldable substance stable in atmospheric oxygen.
