Abstract

2-Alkylaminopyridine derivatives represented by the general formula ##STR1## wherein R denotes a lower alkyl group and Y denotes a halogen atom, and a process for producing the same. These compounds are useful as intermediates in medicines and agricultural chemicals. The final products prepared from the intermediates of the invention are especially useful as herbicides for use in paddy fields and farmlands.
