Abstract

The invention relates to a process for the production of doped heterocyclic polymers, wherein sulphur-free heteroaromatic compounds are reacted with arsenic pentafluoride, optionally in the gas phase or in an inert organic solvent, at temperatures of from -20.degree. C. to +80.degree. C. (or the boiling point of the solvent), and to the doped heterocyclic polymers obtained according to this process, as well as to doped products of polymers according to the following formula ##STR1## wherein X=O or S, and
