Abstract

Combating pests such as insects, arachnids and nematodes with novel N-oxalyl-N-methylcarbamic acid esters of the formula ##STR1## in which R represents alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, halogenoalkyl, halogenoalkoxy, halogenalkylthio, halogen, nitro, dialkylamino, alkylsulphinyl, alkylsulphonyl, cycloalkyl or a saturated, optionally substituted heterocyclic radical with one or more hetero-atoms from the group comprising O, S and N, or forms a ring which is fused onto the phenyl radical, optionally contains one or more hetero-atoms from the group comprising O, S and N and is optionally substituted.
