Abstract
A silver halide photographic material having one or more silver halide emulsion layers formed on a support is disclosed, wherein at least one of said silver halide emulsion layers contains a cyan coupler of formula (I) in combination with a cyan coupler of formula (II): ##STR1## (wherein R.sub.1 is a ballast group; R.sub.2 is a halogen atom or a monovalent organic group; R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group or an alkoxy group; W is an alkyl-sulfonamido group, an arylsulfonamido group, an alkylsulfamoyl group or an arylsulfamoyl group; m is an integer of 0 to 4, provided that when m is 2 or more, R.sub.2 may be the same or different; and Z.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom or a group capable of leaving upon reaction with the oxidized product of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent); ##STR2## (wherein R.sub.4 is an alkyl or alkoxy group; n is an integer of 0 to 5, provided that when n is 2 or more, R.sub.4 may be the same or different; R.sub.5 is an alkylene group; R.sub.6 is an alkyl group; R.sub.7 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or an alkyl group; and Z.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom or a group capable of leaving upon reaction with the oxidized product of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent).
