Abstract

An electrophotographic photosensitive member comprises a photosensitive layer containing a disazo pigment represented by the formula, ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, which may be either identical or different, each represent hydrogen atom, alkyl group, alkoxy group, halogen atom or cyano group, and A represents a coupler residue having a phenolic hydroxyl group.
