Abstract

The invention provides novel .alpha.-(ethynyl substituted phenyl)-.alpha.-hydrocarbyl-1H-azole-ethanols wherein the azole group is 1,2,4-triazol-1-yl or imidazol-1-yl, the ethynyl group is unsubstituted or substituted and the phenyl group may bear an additional substituent and ethers thereof, which are useful as fungicides.
