Abstract

Novel substituted 2-mercaptoimidazoles of the formula ##STR1## in which at least one of the radicals R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group and the other is a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, R.sub.3 is hydrogen or lower alkyl, n is 0, 1 or 2 and R.sub.4 is a substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic hydrocarbon radical and their pharmaceutically usable salts exhibit anti-inflammatory, anti-nociceptive and/or antithrombotic activity.
