Abstract

The photographic silver halide recording material contains particles of a hydroxyalkyl-alkyl cellulose dicarboxylic acid semiester having a particle size of from 0.5 to 8 .mu.m and a particle size distribution of up to .+-.2 .mu.m dispersed in a hydrophilic colloid in at least one of its outermost layers.
