Abstract

Disclosed is a product and process for the production of granules of high mechanical strength comprising mixing a molecular sieve and a metal oxide into a paste with a silicate, shaping the paste into granules, subjecting the shaped granules to an exchange of bases, drying the granules and tempering the granules at 300.degree. to 400.degree. C.
