Cyclododec-2-enyl ethers having the formula ##STR1## wherein R is a straight or branched chain C.sub.1-4 alkyl or alkenyl group, have fragrance characteristics similar to patchouli oil, and are attractive compounds for use in the manufacture of fragrance compositions.
