Abstract

The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition containing carnitine or acetylcarnitine and Coenzyme Q.sub.10 in ratios from 100:1 to 2:1, together with pharmaceutically acceptable eccipients. The pharmaceutical composition described is suitable for the treatment of tissue energetic and metabolic disorders, and especially of heart and blood vessels, occurring in atherosclerosis, in myocardial or coronaric insufficiency, in hypertension, in cerebral ischaemia and, in general, tissue anoxia.
