Abstract

There are prepared antitumor active (1,2-diphenyl-ethylenediamine)-platinum (II) complex compounds of the formula ##STR1## where the groups R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are the same or different and are hydrogen, hydroxy groups, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy groups, C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkanoyloxy groups which optionally are substituted by halogen atoms or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkanesulfonyloxy groups or C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -alkenoyloxy groups and at least one of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 is not hydrogen and X is the equivalent of a physiologically compatible or pharmaceutically acceptable anion.
