Abstract

To determine the coordinate values of quantized sequential dots on a line segment connecting desired two points (x.sub.1, y.sub.1), (x.sub.2, y.sub.2) in a two-dimensional quantized coordinate system, line segment coordinates are processed at high speed by providing counters, each of which employs one quantum unit as the reference clock signal thereof, respectively for the x-axis and y-axis, controlling reference clock signals, which are to be input to the counters, in accordance with the information on the two points (x.sub.1, y.sub.1), (x.sub.2, y.sub.2), and employing output values of the counters as coordinate values of the quantized sequential dots. The above method features high-speed processing operations.
