Abstract

A domed bursting disc adapted to be mounted in a holder and subject to pressure in which the disc is formed of flexible graphite. The flexible graphite may be used in a reverse buckling mode and may be backed by a metal disc. The disc is capable of operations over a wide range of temperatures and in non-oxidizing atmospheres can operate at temperatures up to 3,000.degree. C.
