Abstract

A medical timer apparatus that provides a time of day display and that measures time as between sensings of a monitored parameter, such as the opening of a medication container. Alarm time information may be input as either preselected times of day or as an interval between openings of the medication container. A minimum safe interval between dosages unit operates to signal when medication should not be taken. A predosing interval unit operates to signal the operator that medication might be safely dispensed even though the alarm time has not yet arrived. The invention also operates to calculate and display a compliance score that indicates how well the patient has complied wtih the prescription schedule.
