Abstract
A heat pipe is described for use under low temperature conditions employing preferably ammonia as the heat transport medium and a hydrogen getter material, preferably being a zirconium intermetallic alloy, capable of non-reversibly gettering hydrogen gas in the presence of ammonia and air.
