Abstract

This invention relates to the intermediates of formula ##STR1## wherein A.sub.b is hydroxy (lower) alkylene, amino (lower) alkylene, protected amino (lower) alkylene, lower alkenylene, lower alkylene having an oxo group, or hydroxyimino (lower) alkylene wherein the hydrogen atom of the hydroxyimino group may be replaced with a lower aliphatic hydrocarbon group, and R.sup.3 is carboxy or a protected carboxy group, and a salt thereof.
