Abstract
The present invention relates to an agent for avoiding occlusion by thrombus of shunts and substitute blood tubes used in blood dialysis consisting of a compound selected from 5-(2-chlorobenzyl)-4,5,6, 7-tetrahydrothieno [3,2-c]pyridine and its therapeutically acceptable acid addition salts. The therapeutically acceptable acid addition salt is, in particular, the hydrochloride, named Ticlopidine.
