Abstract
A capacitance article density monitor which is adjusted to have a zero voltage output when no articles are positioned adjacent a sensor and wherein the output of the circuit may be utilized directly to control a variable speed drive for a machine to which articles are being directed depending upon the density of such articles in a conveying area in advance of the machine.
