Abstract
An N.sup..alpha. -protected-N.sup.G -protected-arginyl-p-nitro-anilide with high purity can be produced in high yield by reacting an N.sup..alpha. -protected-N.sup.G -protected-arginine with p-nitroaniline in pyridine in the presence of a condensing agent.
