Abstract

A method for producing magnets from powdered magnetic alloy, and magnets having improved remanence and good coercive force; the method comprises aligning a particle charge of magnet alloy within a container, which aligning may be achieved by use of a pulsating magnetic field; consolidating the charge after alignment to a density in excess of 95% of theoretical density by cold or hot isostatic pressing, or a combination thereof.
