Abstract
Acetylsalicylic acid thioesters having antipyretic activity and useful for the symptomatic treatment of influenza of formula: ##STR1## wherein n is zero or 1, R.sub.1 is hydrogen, methyl or carboxy and R.sub.2 is hydrogen or an acetamido group; a process for their preparation by reacting a functional derivative of acetylsalicylic acid with the suitable thiol; and pharmaceutical compositions containing them as active ingredient.
