4-[[4-hydroxy-3,5-bis(1-methylethyl)phenyl]hydrocarbyl]-2, 6-dimethylphenols. The compounds of the invention such as 4-[[4-hydroxy-3,5-bis(1-methylethyl)phenyl]hydrocarbyl]-2,6-dimethylphenol have low melting points and other physical and chemical properties making them valuable as curing agents, antioxidants, and for other purposes.
