Abstract
Salicylic acid derivatives of the formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, W, X, Y and Z have the meanings indicated or a physiologically tolerated salt thereof, processes for their preparation, pharmaceutical formulations based on these compounds and their use as antidiabetic agents.
