Abstract

Diphenylsulfide derivatives represented by the general formula ##STR1## wherein, X represents a hydrogen atom, a chlorine atom or a methyl group, and R represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group. These diphenyl sulfides reduce lipids such as cholesterols and triglycerides in the blood of mammals.
