Abstract
A support assembly for shelving comprises a shelf supporting bracket having a rearwardly projecting tongue for interfitting in a complementary outwardly facing channelled groove in an upright. The bottom corner of the tongue is cut-away to form an upwardly extending slot for reception of a hollow cylindrical shaped body of resilient material which urges the lower portion of the tongue forwardly against the front face of the groove and prevents movement of the tongue along the upright. In another aspect of the invention an elongate member is inserted into the slot at one end to push the tongue forwardly against the front face of the groove and at its other end rests on another shelf supporting bracket to fix the upper bracket in position relative the upright.
