Abstract

Process for the selective preparation of metachloroanilines. It is carried out by the hydrodechlorination of polychloroanilines or polychloronitrobenzenes with hydrogen, in the liquid phase and in an acid medium, under the action of heat and under pressure, in the presence of a noble metal used in association with a heavy metal. These meta-chloroanilines are intermediates especially for active plant-protection substances.
