Abstract

The recording material contains in an outer layer pre-formed polymer particles, the particle size of which is less than 10 .mu.m and which have a particle size distribution of .+-.1 .mu.m, which are soluble in alkaline medium and are dispersed in a hydrophilic colloid, and which are a graft copolymer of methacrylic acid and methyl-methacrylate on the graft base of an .alpha.-olefin- or styrene-maleic acid semiamide-copolymer.
