Abstract

Disclosed are selected alkylhydrazine and hydroxyalkylhydrazine adducts of diisocyanates having the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is selected from the group consisting of an arylene group containing from 6 to about 12 carbon atoms and a cycloalkylene group containing from about 5 to about 20 carbon atoms; and wherein R.sub.2 is selected from the group consisting of alkyl group containing from 1 to about 20 carbon atoms and hydroxyalkyl group containing from 2 to about 20 carbon atoms. These compounds have utility as antioxidants for a variety of organic compounds subject to oxidative degradation, including functional fluids such as petroleum fuels and lubricants.
