Abstract

The present invention relates to iodopropargyl-ammonium salts of the formula (I) ##STR1## in which R, R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and X.sup..phi. have the meanings given in the description. They are obtained, for example, by reacting tertiary amines with an iodopropargyl halide. In a second reaction step, the halogen anion can be exchanged for other anions, such as phosphate and sulphate. The iodopropargylammonium salts of the formula (I) are distinguished by high activity as pest-combating agents, in particular by a fungicidal as well as bactericidal activity.
