Abstract

A thermoplastic resin composition having excellent impact resistance, heat distortion resistance and processability which comprises an aromatic polycarbonate and a thermoplastic resin prepared by polymerizing a monomer mixture containing mainly acrylonitrile and styrene in the presence of a diene rubber, adding .alpha.-methylstyrene or a monomer mixture containing mainly .alpha.-methylstyrene to the system, and continuing the polymerization, while gradually adding acrylonitrile or a monomer mixture containing mainly acrylonitrile.
