Abstract

A water soluble disazo compound represented by the general formula: ##STR1## wherein X represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl, methoxy or ethoxy group, Y represents a methoxy or ethoxy group, R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl, --C.sub.2 H.sub.4 OH, ##STR2## group, and the ##STR3## group is bonded at the 6- or 7-position, a copper complex salt thereof, and a sheet or film colored therewith.
