Abstract

Novel compounds with .beta.-adrenergic properties comprising 1-[1-benzimidazolyl] N-[2-(4-hydroxy 3-methoxy phenyl) 2-hydroxy ethyl]3-amino butane, corresponding to the following formula ##STR1## as well as its addition salts with pharmaceutically acceptable non-toxic inorganic or organic acids, and the hydrates of said salts. These compounds are particularly useful for the treatment of asthma and in the case of premature labor.
