Abstract

The invention provides disulfonimide compounds of the general formula ##STR1## wherein X is bromine, chlorine or iodine; R is hydrogen or methyl; and R' is alkyl, aryl or substituted aryl. The compounds are useful as activators for anaerobic adhesive compositions and also as intermediates in the preparation of monomers of the general formula ##STR2## wherein R and R' are as defined above. The monomers are polymerizable to form homo- and copolymers useful in the photographic industry as well as in formulating anaerobic adhesive compositions.
