Abstract

A method of preparing a polymer mixture comprising polyvinyl chloride, an aromatic polycarbonate and a rubber like polymeric, characterized in that first a premixture comprising 60-90% by weight of aromatic polycarbonate and 10-40% by weight of rubber like polymer is prepared by mixing at a temperature above about 220.degree. C., after which the resulting premixture is cooled to a temperature below about 220.degree. C. and is mixed with the polyvinyl chloride.
