Abstract

A lubricating agent for processing thermoplastic synthetic fibers contains at least one new type of silyl polyether obtainable by a reaction between polyether of a special type derivable by ring-opening addition polymerization of cyclic ether monomers and halogenated substituted silane. If such lubricating agent is used appropriately during the processing of thermoplastic synthetic fibers, both the coefficient of fiber friction and the rate of generating tar can be reduced.
