A lubricating oil composition with improved corrosion inhibiting properties comprising a major amount of a lubricating oil basestock and an effective amount of a complex of a selected heterocyclic nitrogen compound and an organometallic salt of a C.sub.4 to C.sub.22 fatty acid.
