Abstract

An electrophotographic photosensitive member comprises a layer containing at least one disazo pigment represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represent hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy; R.sub.3 represents methyl, ehtyl or C.sub.3 -C.sub.10 linear alkyl; and X represents a residue necessary to complete an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or heterocyclic ring, substituted or unsubstituted.
