Abstract
Marble, stones, tiles and articles manufactured from such materials are protected from the degrading action of atmospheric and polluting agents by applying to the surfaces of said materials and manufactured articles, a protecting agent which is a perfluoropolyether as such or diluted with a solvent or a mixture of solvents having a boiling temperature lower than 80.degree. C., preferably a fluorochlorohydrocarbon.
