Abstract
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of alkyl-substituted anilines by the reaction of alkyl-substituted phenols in the vapor phase with ammonia in the presence of an aluminium oxide catalyst, the starting materials being passed through the reactor at a particular flow rate. Alkyl-substituted anilines are intermediate products for the preparation of herbicides.
