Abstract

A cosmetic makeup composition contains in an appropriate cosmetically acceptable vehicle or carrier a colored pigment resulting from the salification reaction of a polymer having salified primary or secondary amine functions or quaternized tertiary amine functions and an acid dye, in free acid form or as a salt thereof, the acid dye being fixed on said polymer in an amount of at least 10 weight percent of the stoichiometric quantity. The compositions include lip rouges, cheek rouges, foundation creams and nail enamels.
