Abstract

Thermosetting polyurethane compositions comprising a polymer having a molecular weight of from 500 to 10,000 and containing from about 0.3 to about 15 percent by weight of one or more functional groups selected from the group consisting of --OH, --COOH, --CONH.sub.2 and ##STR1## and a mixture of monomeric and oligomeric polyfunctional substituted urethane compounds, which may be derived by reaction of a polyol and isocyanic acid, followed by methylolation and alkylation. Such compositions may be cured at elevated temperature to produce solvent-resistant coatings.
