Abstract
Oral hygiene formulations incorporating N.sup..alpha.,N.sup.G -diacyl derivatives of arginine, or the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, optionally in combination with fluoride compounds, are effective in combatting microorganisms, inhibiting acid production and reducing dental caries.
